About Children Aid South Sudan

Background

Children Aid South Sudan (CASS) is a South Sudanese national organization registered with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Reg. No: 2061, with a license of operation from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Reg. No: 091. The organization is compliant with the South Sudan national tax policy and certified by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) Directorate of Taxation. It with focuses on Health and Nutrition, Education, Protection and Gender equality, Livelihood and Agriculture ; to address the problems of south Sudan’s humanitarian and developmental situation. CASS contribution is towards improving the quality of life in the communities with emphasis on children and women. CASS strives to reduce and eventually eliminate absolute poverty, illiteracy and social inequalities in the south Sudan society through charity and aid. We partner with the community in identifying their own problems and solving them using local initiative.

CASS’ AIM is to assist Children to realize their full potential, by Supporting and Strengthening local institutions to enable community members respond to the numerous social-economic challenges

Volunteerism: Volunteerism is the heart and soul of our organization. We appreciate the myriad contributions of our volunteers, and recognize the power of “thank you.” We value the power of good that volunteers can achieve. We seek to promote and encourage volunteerism among our stakeholders, and the children, and Youth we serve.
Respect for Children: We believe that children and youth are our most precious resources. We believe in an approach to community development that builds assets and empowers individuals. We foster leadership, engaging children and the community to give service and make decisions in a democratic society.
Integrity, transparency and accountability: We take personal responsibility for using resources efficiently, achieving measurable results, and being accountable to supporters, partners and, most of all, children and women.
Professionalism demands, inter alia, a thorough knowledge of one’s field of endeavour as well as demonstration of skill, high ethical standards, and respect for CASS’s clients and other stakeholders.
